Rhino 7 Overview:
Rhino 7 is the latest version of Rhino, a powerful 3D modeling software that can create, edit, analyze, document, render, animate, and translate NURBS curves, surfaces and solids, subdivision geometry (SubD), point clouds, and polygon meshes. It has many new features and improvements that make it the most significant upgrade in Rhino’s history.
Rhino 7 features:
– SubD: A new geometry type that allows you to create organic shapes with smooth surfaces and sharp edges. You can edit SubD objects with intuitive control points or convert them to NURBS for further refinement.
– Rhino.Inside.Revit: A new way to run Rhino and Grasshopper inside the Autodesk Revit environment. You can use Rhino’s modeling tools and Grasshopper’s parametric logic to enhance your Revit workflows.
– QuadRemesh: A new algorithm that can create a quad-dominant mesh from any input geometry. You can use QuadRemesh to optimize your models for rendering, animation, CFD, FEA, and reverse engineering.
– Presentation: A major update to the Rhino Render engine that makes it compatible with the Raytraced viewport mode. You can also use PBR materials, denoisers, emissive materials, light falloff, and LayerBook to create stunning presentations of your designs.
– Rhino Refined: A collection of bug fixes and workflow enhancements that make Rhino more stable and user-friendly. Some of the new features include Named Selections, Mold Making tools, Single-Line fonts, and improved file format support.
– Display: A series of improvements to the display pipeline that make Rhino faster and more responsive on modern graphics hardware. Some of the new features include transparent colors, per-face colors, and rendered display mode.
– Documentation: A series of improvements to the documentation tools that make it easier to create 2D drawings and illustrations from your 3D models. Some of the new features include gradient and transparent hatches, layout management, and text fields.
Minimum system requirements Rhino 7:
– A 64-bit Intel or AMD processor (not ARM) with no more than 63 CPU cores
– 8 GB memory (RAM) or more is recommended
– 600 MB disk space
– OpenGL 4.1 capable video card with 4 GB Video RAM recommended
– A multiple-button mouse with a scroll wheel is recommended
– Windows 10 or 8.1 operating system
