Siemens Simatic TIA Portal v18 is the latest version of automation and control systems programming software, developed to help engineers and technicians design, program, and operate applications. Enables more efficient and flexible automation engineering such as multi-user engineering, IT/OT integration, advanced kinematics, and R1 redundancy.

Siemens Simatic TIA Portal v18 Features:

– Multi-user engineering: Allows users to work in teams and in parallel on projects and build and manage shared libraries. Access rights can be assigned either individually or group-specifically, which makes collaboration more flexible.

– IT/OT integration: IT professionals to use Automation Xpansion (Simatic AX), a development environment based on Visual Studio Code and version control via GitLab. Allows them to create libraries with object orientation in Structured Text and integrate them into the TIA Portal.

– Advanced kinematics: It is a simple and holistic engineering of 5D/6D kinematics, which means motion control functions up to six interpolating axes. Complex kinematics like robots can now be easily integrated into industrial processes in the TIA Portal.

– R1 redundancy: The maximum availability of applications and helps solve future automation challenges. The Simatic S7-1500 and the ET 200SP now provide a higher computing and communication performance and support R1 redundancy. The R1 redundancy can be easily and flexibly integrated into existing networks with no programming effort.
